When you first open the app, you’re prompted for an activation code. Your local lead will have different codes that enable two different functions.

A) The mobile app can be ‘locked’ to one area, so all data is automatically attributed to that ward / department – our recommendation is to have one tablet per area. This prevents data entry errors

OR

B) The app can be locked to more than one area, so the device can be reused for more than one location. Users will need to ensure that the exit a project and select the correct location before they enter data.

Here are the detailed instructions for each option:

Locking the app to one area

  • After you enter a valid activation code, you’ll be presented with your organisational structure. Select the directorate, then the ward/department and press ‘Lock’
  • The app will then show a list of all projects available for that area
  • Select any project and select ‘Open’
  • When you see the first page of the project (it has a large green ‘Start’ button), the app has now been fully registered.
  • If you don’t complete all of the above, you’ll need to repeat the steps above to complete registration when you next open the app.

Connecting the app to more than one area

  • After you enter a valid activation code, you’ll be presented with your organisational structure. Select any directorate, then any ward/department.
  • The app will then show a list of all projects available for that area
  • Select any project and select ‘Open’
  • When you see the first page of the project (it has a large green ‘Start’ button), the app has now been fully registered.
  • If you don’t complete all of the above AND switch off the device (or it runs out of battery) you’ll need to reinstall the app to complete activation.
